Question: What is the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
Answer: The Employee Assistance Program assists members who need counseling and/ or treatment for Mental Health and Substance Abuse disorders. They will also arrange for inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation treatment when necessary, within the Plan guidelines. You must pre-certify all Mental Health and Substance Abuse treatment by contacting Teamster Center Services at (800) 433-4827 or (212) 235-5003, prior to using this benefit. Their services are completely confidential.
