Under NYS Executive Order 202.8, all businesses are required to reduce in-office personnel by 100% except for “essential businesses” and “essential services and functions.” As of this posting, “construction” and warehouse distribution are considered “essential”. Labor organizations in and of themselves are not.

Local 282 is operating remotely and Officers, Agents and staff are available by phone. Calls to Union office phone extensions are forwarding to mobile phones.
Local 282 Funds Office
The Local 282 office is open on a limited basis for the purpose of operating the Welfare Trust Fund, to assist with the timely processing of claims.

The situation with coronavirus is rapidly evolving. We are monitoring available guidance from relevant health authorities and taking steps to ensure the health and safety of all of us as well our continued operation.
- The March 26th Membership meeting has been cancelled.
- In-person visits to union office by appointment only.
- Book day scheduled for Thursday March 19th is cancelled.
- Local 282 Dues Window is closed. We will no longer accept cash for Union Dues. Mail all payments by check or money order to the Union until further notice.
